The mission of the Information Systems (IS) department is to provide a total source, single point resource for computers and networking support at Halifax Community College This includes: Helpdesk operations, LAN operations to include wired and wireless, Active Directory System Administration, IIPS/Colleague System Administration, BlackBoard System Administration, GroupWise System Administration, Netware System Administration, Telephone System Administration, NCIH equipment operation/maintenance, PC/Server maintenance and repair, Software License Administration, WEB Mastering of college web site, Administration and Authoring of Closed Circuit System and Satellite System Administration.

Laptop Repair

If you are a HCC student and have a software issue with your PC/laptop, you may bring your laptop to us for repair. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to repair your computer. This service is for currently enrolled students only, and we will only see one device per semester.
