Getting Started in Distance Learning Courses at HCC

Preparing for Your Online Class

  1. Ensure you have access to a computer with a webcam and reliable Internet.
  2. Download one of the following recommended browsers.
  3. Visit Student Online Accounts to set up your HCC Student Gmail and learn how to login to Blackboard.
  4. Login to Blackboard and complete the Online Learning Orientation. Visit the Distance Learning home page to learn more).
  5. Order textbooks/required materials (access codes, etc.) from HCC Online Bookstore

First Day of Class

HCC Has Extended Hours!

The Student Affairs team will extend hours from August 18 to 21, operating 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is to support students with admissions, financial aid, and course registration needs that fall outside regular operating hours.
