Nehemiah—The Leadership Company speaks to HCC Leadership Institute
WELDON, N.C. – Nehemiah—The Leadership Company visited for a second time with the Halifax Community College (HCC) Leadership Institute participants on Dec. 7 in The Centre. The session featured interactive activities and group discussion.

Nehemiah—The Leadership Company kicked off the HCC Leadership Institute in May. Dr. Donny Hunter, president and CEO of the North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees and president of National Search & Education Consulting presented during the September session. North Carolina Community College System President Dr. Scott Ralls visited with the institute participants on Oct. 12. Dr. George Vaughan, president emeritus of Piedmont Virginia Community College and professor emeritus of higher education at North Carolina State University, visited the institute on Nov. 16.

The institute is a year-long leadership program for the College’s employees. It is limited to 25 participants and features individual professional development and team-building activities. The institute includes a series of professional seminars and interactive sessions presented by local and state leaders in higher education. The institute is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education PBI Formula Grant.
