Practical Nursing graduates pinned at HCC
WELDON, N.C. – The 2012 Practical Nursing (PN) Pinning Ceremony was held in The Centre at Halifax Community College (HCC), July 26. College staff, family and guests gathered for the ceremony honoring the accomplishments of the class that included 12 members.

This was the tenth pinning ceremony for the PN program. The 2012 ceremony celebrated the first graduating class of the Halifax Community College Nursing Program. PN graduates in 2011 represented the last class of the Nash-Edgecombe-Wilson-Halifax Nursing Consortium.

HCC President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. was the keynote speaker. He noted that students need critical thinking skills, positive attitudes, a willingness to face challenges, commitment and the ability to learn from their mistakes to be successful. “All of you are winners,” added Griffin.
