Pre-EMT Basic Courses slated at HCC
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) Continuing Education will hold pre-Emergency Medical Training (EMT) basic courses starting in January 2012.

The first class will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights, Jan. 9-Feb. 6 from 7-10 p.m. at the Lake Gaston Community Center in Henrico. Registration costs $65.

The second class will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights, Feb. 6-29 from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the HCC campus in Weldon. Registration costs $65.

The course will provide fundamental information to students interested in a career in emergency medical services. The class is mandatory for entrance into the EMT Basic class. Prospective students should take the reading placement test in Building 500, GED Lab as soon as possible. Students must score on the 12th grade level.

Pre-register by going to www.halifaxcc.edu and clicking on “Continuing Education,” then clicking on “Registration.” Print off the registration form, complete it and fax it to 252-536-2241 or come by the Continuing Education Office in Building 400.
