HCC Interior Design students visit High Point Fall Furniture Market

WELDON, N.C. –Alice Vaughan, department head of the Halifax Community College (HCC) Interior Design program took several of her interior design students to the High Point Fall Furniture Market on Oct. 25-26. Interior Design students had a chance to see firsthand what buyers and tradespersons are only allowed to view from designers around the world.

The students also attended a workshop with TV guru, Libby Langdon, a veteran of HGTV’s “Small Space, Big Style” and “The Rachel Ray Show” during the session, “Rise of the Interior Designer: What Furniture Retailers Can Learn.” The Interior Design students were amazed at the vast spaces and the variety of accessories/furniture at the High Point Furniture Market.
