Halifax Community College to hold news conference about economic impact study
WELDON, N.C. - Halifax Community College (HCC) will hold a news conference on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. on its campus in Building 100, Room 108. The news conference will focus on a new economic impact study. Representatives from the media are encouraged to attend.

The event will:
  • Provide information on how eastern North Carolina, the Roanoke Valley region and the state’s economy benefits from HCC’s presence
  • Focus on investment and economic growth analyses and the impact on businesses, the community, taxpayers and students
  • Show how HCC can assist in positioning the region as a viable and competitive location for business expansion, economic growth and development
Local officials have been invited. These include county commissioners, the Halifax County Economic Development Commission, Turning Point Workforce Development Board, state senators and representatives, chamber of commerce representatives, HCC Board of Trustee members, Halifax County Business Horizons, school superintendents, local media representatives and others interested in economic development in the area.
