Point Furniture Market
Halifax Community College Interior Design Department
Chair/Instructor Alice Vaughan, center, and HCC students
Mary Eastep, left, and Jen Wesner, right, attended the High
Point Furniture Market in High Point, N.C., on Oct. 19-20.
While at the market, they were able to attend two seminars
including “Hospitality—Supporting Work Through Lodging
Spaces” and “Color Directions.” The students and Vaughan saw
many new and innovative trends and ideas. According to its
Web site, the High Point Market is the largest furnishings
industry trade show in the world. Every six months, it
brings more than 85,000 people to High Point.
