Halifax CC Interior Design students learn from local business

Interior Design Students

Halifax Community College Interior Design Department Chair/Instructor Alice Vaughan and HCC students traveled to LaCrosse, Va., for a two-day seminar recently at Virginia Quilting Designer Training Center. President Wes McAden hosted the students along with assistants Mary McAden, vice president, and Terry Lehman, assistant plant manager. They demonstrated many different products, from making custom bedding to window treatments and showed many different styles and patterns that are used in the construction of products. Students also had a chance to operate some of the machines.
