HCC to host Small Business Resource & Appreciation Day
 
WELDON, N.C. – On Thursday, November, 19, 2015, The Halifax Community College, Small Business Center in partnership with the Rural Entrepreneur Network and the UNC Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, will host the second annual "Small Business Resource and Appreciation Day" at Halifax Community College. We encourage local entrepreneurs to take advantage of the valuable and free information and materials designed to help "fit the pieces together" regarding business ownership.

At 11:00 am North Carolina Secretary of State Legal specialist, will present, "Small Business Filings and Responsibilities", followed by 12 noon registration, resource networking and lunch.

Our keynote address will begin at 1:00 pm followed by 2:00 pm seminars on "Federal Tax Tips for Small Businesses, presented by the North Carolina Internal Revenue Service, Small Business/Self Employed Division and "Resources to Start and Grow Your Business" presented by the N.C. Small Business amp; Technology Development Center (SBTDC).

The "Small Business Resource and Appreciation Day" will be held at Halifax Community College, Building 400, Room 410 A/B. Individual "break-out" seminars will be held in rooms, 411 and 412.
