HCC to host Seventh Annual American Indian Heritage Month Celebration
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) will host its seventh annual American Indian Heritage Month Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. in The Centre. The event provides an opportunity for the community to learn about American Indian culture and traditions.

Chief of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe Dr. Ogletree Richardson will give the keynote address. This year's program will also feature "A Tribute to Mrs. Bernella DeLaMora"

Educational demonstrations and vendors include:
  • Sharon Berrun and Youth Services Dancers
  • Brian and Trina Lynch–Silver Jewelry
  • David Lynch–Bows and Arrows
  • Karen Lynch-Harley–Arts & Crafts
  • Mills on Wheels–Authentic American Indian Food
