Basic Telecommunicator Certification Class held
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) recently held a Basic Telecommunicator Certification class. This 47-hour class is designed to meet the training requirements mandated by the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission. In order to be eligible for certification, participants must successfully pass a state administered exam and demonstrate competency in all skill areas.

Participants who successfully completed the course are:
  • Vera Bunch with Halifax County E911
  • Crystal Edgar with Hyde County Sheriff's Office
  • Latoya Gray with Halifax County E911
  • David Hasty with Northampton County E911
  • Courtney Lassiter with Bertie County Sheriff’s Office
  • Benjamin Little with Northampton County E911
  • Kaye Long with Perquimans County E911
  • Shari Pittman-Dozier with Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office
  • Latoya Smallwood with Halifax County E911
  • Kimberly Stringfield with Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office
