HCC Leadership Institute holds November session
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) held its November Leadership Institute session on Nov. 21. HCC President/CEO Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. and Leadership Institute Director Sherida Gholston presented information on the American Association of Community Colleges, the College's mission, vision and values, data-driven student success building blocks, access, success and completion, and the Complete College America initiative.

The Institute was established in May 2012 under the direction of HCC President/CEO Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr. and Sherida Gholston, leadership coordinator. Guest speakers who participate in the Institute come from all walks of life. Many have years of experience working in higher education. The goal of the Institute is for participants to seek to obtain the knowledge and training that is necessary to become effective leaders within the community college system and beyond. Institute events are funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education PBI Formula Grant.
