HCC Women of Excellence hold third annual Appreciation Banquet
WELDON, N.C. – The Halifax Community College (HCC) Women of Excellence (WOE) female mentoring program held the third annual Women of Excellence Appreciation Banquet, May 1 on campus. Program participants included:
  • HCC Dean of Student Services and Enrollment Management Dr. Barbara Bradley-Hasty
  • Women of Excellence Advisor Cindy Collins
  • Women of Excellence Co-Chair Amber Evans
  • Women of Excellence Co-Chair Latesha Fields
  • HCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer
  • HCC President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr.
  • Women of Excellence Member Veronica Holcomb
Certificates of appreciation were presented. Weldon Mayor Julia Meacham was presented with an honorary WOE membership. Fields was honored as the 2013-14 WOE Woman of the Year.

The mission of WOE is to set the standards for females pursuing personal and professional excellence. Values include modeling dignity, honesty, integrity, respect and responsibility as a way of life. The HCC Student Government Association chartered the group in fall 2008.
