Fulmer joins HCC Academic Affairs
WELDON, N.C. Ė Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer has joined Halifax Community College (HCC) as the vice president of academic affairs. Fulmer began her post at the College on July 22.

Prior to arriving at HCC, Fulmer was most recently the vice president of instruction and the chief academic officer at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, Wis. She has also held progressively-responsible positions at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wis., Milwaukee Area Technical College, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis.

Fulmer earned a Ph.D. in Urban Education (major in Administrative Leadership/Adult Education and minor in Social Psychology) and a masterís degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned a bachelorís degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and earned certification as a North Carolina State Probation/Parole Officer through the North Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

Having a number of publications, conference proceedings and presentations to her credit, Fulmer was most recently nominated for the Golden Apple Award as an educational leader by the Sheboygan (Wis.) Chamber of Commerce.
