HCC offers Small Business Seminars in January

Halifax Community College will offer a number of small business seminars during the month of January, many of which are FREE. Pre-registration is required. Small Business Classes

“Notary Public” will run from 6-9 p.m., Monday & Wednesday, Jan. 11& 13, Room 412, $65

“Grant Writing 101” will be offered from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12, Room 401A, no charge

“Grant Writing 102” will be offered from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, Room 401A, no charge

“10 Steps to Starting Your Own Business” will run from 6-9 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, Room 411, no charge

“Financing Your Business in a Difficult Economy” will run from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, Room 412, no charge

“Communicating Effectively in Today’s Workplace” will be offered from 1-4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21, Room 412, no charge

 

Occupational Extension

 “NC REAL Entrepreneurship” will run from 6-9 p.m., Mondays, Jan. 11-Mar. 1, Room 411, $65

“Practical Spanish 1” will be offered from 6-9 p.m., Mondays & Wednesdays, Jan. 11-Feb. 3, Room 411, $65

“RE Post-License: Broker Relationships & Responsibilities” will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday & Thursday, Jan. 12-26, Room 412, $120

“Real Estate—Pre-Licensing” will be offered from 6-9:30 p.m., Tuesdays & Thursdays, Jan. 12-Mar. 30, Room 412, $175

“Auto Safety Inspection” will run from 6-10 p.m., Monday & Tuesday, Jan. 25-26, Building 100, Room 115, $65

 

The HCC Small Business Center (SBC) can help individuals start, sustain and grow their businesses. SBC provides help with the business planning process, marketing, financials and other business management issues. At the HCC campus, get free start-up counseling, consultations for existing businesses, help with business questions, and computer use and Internet access along with business center resources.
