HCC Board Chair presents gift
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) Board of Trustee Chair Frank V. Avent III recently presented a $1,000 gift to the Frank V. Avent III Veterans/Business Administration Scholarship, which was originally established at HCC in 2008.

The scholarship assists needy students, particularly those who have served in the Armed Forces and/or are working toward a degree in business administration. To be selected, students must display economic need as evidenced by the student’s qualification for federal financial aid, show proof of service in the Armed Forces, and/or demonstrate intent to work toward a degree in business administration through a declared course of study.
