Financial literacy workshops held at HCC

WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted PNC Bank for two financial literacy workshops on Sept. 16, from noon-1 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. in Room 112. PNC Bank employees Donna Cribb and Jessica Temple provided a presentation, featuring tips on how to effectively manage Pell Grant refund checks, follow a budget and establish a good credit score. On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the BB&T financial literacy bus will be on campus from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Building 300. All students are invited to attend this workshop to learn more about checking and savings accounts, obtaining and maintaining good credit, and much more. The workshops are sponsored by Student Support Services.
