This information serves as the foundation for databases, both internal and external studies, and statistical analyses, all of which contribute to planning, evaluation, and management processes. The Performance Measures for Student Success Report is the North Carolina Community College System’s major accountability document. This annual performance report is based on data compiled during the previous year and serves to inform colleges and the public about the performance of our 58 community colleges.

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a College-developed document. It identifies key issues from institutional assessment, focuses on learning outcomes and institutional mission alignment, demonstrates institutional capability for QEP initiation, implementation, and completion, involves broad-based institutional constituency participation, and outlines goals and assessment plans.
The five-year strategic planning process enables Halifax Community College to assess its current mission, analyze data and feedback, and formulate specific strategies. These strategies aim to ensure that the College consistently delivers essential programs, resources, and supportive services to Halifax County and its surrounding areas.
