Overview of Program

This program covers a wide range of topics related to industrial technology, including robotics, PLCs, motors, controls, electrical systems, machining, CNC, and various other technologies. Our program equips students with essential knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful career in industrial technology. From robotics to PLCs, it covers a diverse range of topics to prepare students for the dynamic field of automation and controls.

Program Admission Requirements

The College welcomes any high school graduate or non-graduate who can benefit from the educational instruction programs offered. Academic Pathways are available to allow any traditional, non-traditional, or current high school students the opportunity for enrollment in the College.

EMERGENCY ALERT

Halifax Community College has implemented an Enhanced Alert Status (EAS) in response to an unsubstantiated social media threat directed toward a local high school.

At this time, there is no known or specific threat to Halifax Community College or its students, faculty, or staff. However, in alignment with established safety protocols and out of an abundance of caution, the College has increased its security posture.

During the Enhanced Alert Status:

  • All personnel are required to visibly display campus identification while on campus.
  • There will be an increased law enforcement presence across campus.
  • Individuals without visible identification may be stopped for verification purposes.
