Center for Academic Excellence (CAE)

1. No food or drinks allowed around computers.
2. No profanity.
3. No cell phones or pagers (unless on vibrate/silent mode).
4. No excessively loud talking or disruptive noises.
5. No use of illegal drugs or alcohol controlled beverages.
6. Erase marker board at end of each session.
7. Push chairs to table neatly.
8. Be kind and courteous to others and show respect.
9. Report any unusual circumstances or concerns to the CAE staff.
10. Keep Center for Academic Excellenceneat and clean.
11. Always be prepared have materials (books, pencil, pen, calculator, paper, syllabus, etc.).
12. Put all trash in trash can.
13. All tutees (students) must sign the student sign-in and out sheet before and at the end of each session.
14. Be on time.
15. Call or inform CAE staff and/or tutor in advance if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late or absent.
16. Document number of copies when using printer (see printer rules).
17. Computer users refer to student computer use regulation.
18. No cheating or unethical conduct. Tutors will not assist you with exams, quizzes or tests, or type your papers. (See HCC Counselor for special accommodations).
19. Take care of your personal hygiene.
20. Inform CAE staff before withdrawing from class or tutoring services.
21. Computers are to be used for academics use only; not social media (games,
22. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, etc.).
