The FIT Trail is situated along the serene and picturesque walking areas of Halifax Community College Campus. It is a 21-station exercise system with detailed instructional signs and exercise structures. The system is designed to promote total fitness by combining three essential elements of exercise, namely stretching/flexibility, muscle toning, and cardiovascular conditioning, into a balanced routine. Each station contains recommended exercises you can perform at your own pace. The routine also includes warm-up, conditioning, and cool-down exercises. Heart-rate guides are available to help you measure your exertion levels and pace your workout effectively.
RV FIT is open year-round from daylight to 9:00 pm.
RV FIT is free and available to the public. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Walking 30-60 minutes each day is one of the best activities for the body, mind and spirit.
Walking also reduces weight, cancer, and diabetes risks, boosts brain power, and relieves stress.
