Emergency Medical Services Programs
There are many rewards experienced throughout a lifetime, but few measure up to the sense of accomplishment when saving a life. Halifax Community College’s Emergency Medical Services Program teaches students both beginning and advanced classes on how to do just that. Working in partnership with certifying organizations such as the N.C. Office of EMS, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, National Association of EMS and many others, HCC offers a wide variety of emergency life-saving classes that give students the certifications to have a rewarding career in the emergency medical service field. We offer the following courses:
Initial Emergency Medical Certification: EMT, Advanced EMT and Paramedic Initial classes for NCOEMS testing.
EMS Continuing Education: A wide variety of continuing education for current EMS workers to meet local and state recertification requirements.
Third-Party Credentialed: Specialty courses such as cardiac life support, trauma , geriatric care and more.
Online Options: Initial and continuing education classes online for the convenience of the students, but with the same high academic principles of a traditional class.
Custom Programs: Offers a wide variety of specialized classes such as pet CPR, driver training and more.
