| HCC Receiving Nominations for Faith in Action Award |

WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) is proud to announce the opening of
nominations for its 2019 Faith in Action award as part of its Progressive Communities Awards
Dinner.
Throughout our society, churches and religious organizations consistently live out the tenets of
their faith, making a quiet difference in the lives of everyone they meet. Too often, these efforts
are overshadowed by larger organizations.
HCC is committed to honoring the religious organizations in our community for their good deeds
in our region. On March 28, HCC pay tribute to spiritual leaders and congregations who do more
than talk about their faith – they live it every day.
Nominations must include at least one example of the organization’s community impact
activities(s) and at least one example of the direct benefits derived from the organization’s
contributions. The deadline for submission is Thursday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m.
