WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted its first annual P.R.I.D.E. Basketball Tournament on Thursday, May 4.
Players, all members of the P.R.I.D.E. organization, were divided in to teams and began competing for a chance at the trophy more than six weeks ago. With the playoffs coming to an end, the remaining teams were the self-named Celtics and Spurs.
Though it was a close game throughout, the Spurs advanced victorious. Team members proudly hoisted the trophy after having it presented by Dr. Michael Elam, president of HCC.
