HCC Hosts Performance of Santaís Christmas Miracle
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College will host the Virginia Rep on Tour, the nationís second largest touring theatre for young audiences, on Friday, Dec. 16 for a performance of Santaís Christmas Miracle. The show will be in The Centre at HCC and will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Santaís Christmas Miracle is a holiday treat for young audiences, this charming musical comedy is set in Broken-Bone, Montana on December 24, 1883, where the sheriff has outlawed Christmas! It is up to a mysterious stranger and a bungling bandit named Big Bad Bart to unravel the plot and bring the true meaning of the season back into focus. This delightful story emphasizes love, faith and the holiday spirit all to the accompaniment of foot-stompiní country and western music.

Virginia Rep on Tour, founded in 1975, has been internationally acclaimed for excellence as a theatre for young audiences. February 1st, 2002 Virginia Rep on Tourís production of Buffalo Soldier was performed, by request, at the Pentagon to open their celebration of Black History Month. The company performs live for over 500,000 students, parents and teachers each year throughout 33 states and the District of Columbia.
