HCC Certifies 11 Detention Officers
WELDON, N.C. – Law Enforcement officers from Northampton, Hertford, Pasquotank and Halifax Counties successfully completed the NC Detention Officers' Certification Course at Halifax Community College recently to receive certification to work in police departments or sheriff's departments anywhere within the state.

From July 11 through Aug. 12, each student completed a rigorous 175-hour course of study, then passed the certification exam. The graduates were as follows: Carolyn Chamblee-Moore, Jamar Clements, Jamison Eley, Russell Evans, Christon Martin, Tritia Paylin-Manning, Jasmine Richardson, Shirley Robbins, William Robertson, Quashonda Vaughan and Selena White.
