HCC's BLET Academy graduates 49th class
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) cadets graduated in a ceremony on campus, May 24. This marked HCC's 49th BLET Academy graduation. Northampton County Sheriff’s Office provided the Honor Guard. Northampton County Sheriff’s Office Captain Brian Simmons was the guest speaker.

Graduates included:
  • William Ryan Deanes
  • Hannah Victoria Grimes
  • Roger Glenn Jenkins, III
  • Tyler Jacob Johnson
  • Raellen Rose Wittman
  • Alexus Jasmine Kristine Young
Awards and recognition were also presented.

Grimes earned the Academic Excellence award. Top Gun honors went to Johnson. Deanes garnered the Physical Fitness award. Johnson was also awarded The Top Driver. Student Director’s Award went to Wittman and Jenkins was recognized as class president.
