When to Stay Home-Calculating Quarantine Due to COVID-19 Exposure or Positive Test

Once known COVID-19 exposure or positive cases should be reported immediately to the appropriate College representative. Any student with a potential COVID-19 exposure or confirmed case should report it to Dr. Barbara Bradley-Hasty, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Services, at bhasty399@halifaxcc.edu or at 536-6386.

Any employee with a potential COVID-19 exposure or confirmed case should report it to Ms. Murga, Human Resources Director, at mmurga673@halifaxcc.edu or at 536-7242.

Employees can apply to their supervisor for Presidential approval to make use of the Telecommuting Policy if their position aligns with that policy to work off campus. Staff employees who are not allowed to telecommute due to their position duties, can file for COVID- 19 Emergency Leave based on the COVID-19 Emergency Leave Policy in place through June 30, 2022. Ms. Murga is the contact regarding these policies.

Following a confirmed COVID-19 case, information will be requested to allow contract tracing and allow expeditious sanitizing and disinfecting of the impacted area.
