Tawanda Thompson
Tutor
Classes I Tutor: C++ programming, Visual BASIC programming, Java programming, Microsoft Word and OST courses, Microsoft Excel, Web Development (HTML, CSS, Javascript), Accounting, Introduction to Computers, Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash-introductory, Adobe Photoshop-introductory, Security Concepts, Systems Analysis, System Support Project, Database Concepts, Windows Administration, Windows Single User, English grammar, Discussion boards, programming syntax, Windows Command Prompt, SQL, Powershell, Networking, Computer Hardware and Software courses, general computer use, study habits, and any computer technology related courses.
Why I Love Tutoring: I don't have the ability to observe someone struggle when it's not necessary for them to do so. Helping other students has always been a great way to study and stay focused. When I didn't understand something I studied harder and met with any willing instructor, because I had to be able to explain it to those who felt less capable of understanding. The hardest part of tutoring is watching someone be happy with any passing grade, because of waiting too long to get help. Be proactive. If it even sounds difficult, grab someone who understands it before the first day of class.
