HCC to Offer CNA Classes in Scotland Neck
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) will begin offering Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes in Scotland Neck on Jan. 28.

Classes will be held at the Bryan Health and Rehab Center, with a maximum of 10 students per class. Upon completion of the program, students can go straight into the CNA II classes, which will offer even more professional opportunities.

&quo;CNA's provide the basic care for patients," said Sheila Aycock, the course instructor. "They’re the ones who get the closest to the patients, and the ones that let the nurses know of any issues or changes to their condition."

With the completion of a CNA program, individuals can go to work in most medical organizations including medical offices, hospitals, Hospice centers, and home care organizations.

Anyone interested in the program should contact Aycock at 252-536-7291 or saycock354&halifaxcc.edu. For more information on HCC's other continuing education programs, please contact 252-536-7216.
