Lovett Wins Innovator of the Year
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) is proud to announce that Daniel Lovett, Director of Title III, Sponsored and Special Projects, was named the Innovator of the Year by the Rural Community College Alliance.

Lovett's leadership at HCC has led to the success and growth of the P.R.I.D.E. Program on campus. P.R.I.D.E., which stands for PReparing men for Intellectual, acaDemic, & Educational success, works to promote long-term success and personal dignity among young men on campus. Since being at the helm, Lovett has created a vision and developed a brand that is synonymous with excellence.

"I'm not surprised that Dan won this award, and he is certainly quite deserving," said Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr., president of HCC. "Dan's commitment to our students and his dedication to continued growth ensures that HCC stays on the cutting edge of education, and that our students receive the very best preparation for life."

Lovett was presented the award at the 2016 RCCA Conference at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, AL. Dr.
