P.R.I.D.E. host spring 2016 Griffin Discussion Forum |

WELDON, N.C. – The Halifax Community College P.R.I.D.E. male mentoring program sponsored its first spring 2016 Griffin Discussion Forum on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in the P.R.I.D.E. Academic Enrichment and Cooperative Learning Lab. The forum focused on critical academic, personal, and social challenges men face on campus, in the community, and throughout their daily lives.
Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr., spoke to a packed room of P.R.I.D.E. participants. Working closely with their assigned Learning, Wellness, and Success Coach, each works through a "graduation plan" that is designed to help them graduate from HCC with one or more credentials in two years.
The PRIDE program is supported through a grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education PBI Program.
