HCC Small Business Center to Host Grant Writing Workshops
 
WELDON, N.C. – Beginning Feb. 2, the Halifax Community College (HCC) Small Business Center (SBC) will host a four-session training series focused on grant writing.

On Feb. 2, the HCC SBC will continue its Grant Writing Series. This session will focus on Grant Research and How to Qualify for Grants. Research and determining whether you are eligible for specific grants is a very important step in the grant writing process. This seminar will be held in Room 128 of the 100 Building at HCC from 6 -9 pm.

On Feb. 9th, the HCC SBC will host Grant Writing I. This class will teach you basics in grant writing, grant writing tips, organizational readiness and accountability. This seminar will be held in Room 128 of the 100 Building at HCC from 6 -9 pm.

On Feb. 16, the HCC SBC will host Grant Writing II. The focus here will be on the different parts of grants, mission, letter requests, appointments and interviews, following up and tips. This seminar will be held in Room 128 of the 100 Building at HCC from 6-9 pm

Finally, on Feb. 23, the HCC SBC will host Grant Writing III. During this session you will begin putting your proposal together. You will examine the different types of funding sources, how to prove your need for the project, when to make contact and other critical application guidelines.
