Pre-EMT Basic Course slated at HCC
WELDON, N.C. – The Halifax Community College (HCC) Continuing Education Department will hold a pre-Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) basic course starting in July 2012.

The class will be held on Monday and Wednesday nights, July 9-Aug. 8 from 6:30-9:30 p.m., at the HCC campus in Weldon. Registration costs $65.

The course will provide foundational information to students interested in a career in emergency medical services. The class is mandatory for entrance into the EMT Basic class. Prospective students should take the reading placement test in Building 500, GED Lab as soon as possible. Students must score on the 12th grade level.

Pre-register by going to www.halifaxcc.edu and clicking on "Continuing Education," then clicking on "Registration." Print off the registration form, complete it and fax it to 252-536-2241 or come by the Continuing Education Office in Building 400.
