HCC hosts area high school juniors for JLAC Day 2012
 
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) hosted Juniors Learning About Careers (JLAC) Day, March 9 for area high school juniors. Students had the opportunity to explore the campus and hear from instructors and students in different academic areas about careers.

During the general session, HCC President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. welcomed students.

Dean of Student Services Barbara Bradley-Hasty explained the program to students and how tours would proceed. Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Erica Holmes made introductions of faculty and staff. Then, students heard from representatives from the Admissions Office, PRIDE Male Mentoring, Student Support Services and Women of Excellence.

Students then had the opportunity to visit academic program information booths and tour campus.
