HCC and Eastern Carolina Christian College Officials sign New Articulation Agreement

WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) and Eastern Carolina Christian College (ECCC) officials signed a new articulation agreement, Dec. 21. The agreement facilitates the transfer of academic credit and increases communication, coordination and student support services between the institutions.

As part of the agreement, ECCC agrees to accept college transfer coursework completed at HCC, under a program of study, as equivalents to ECCC courses. The specific courses approved for transfer credit are taught by HCC faculty and students must earn a grade of “C” or better to transfer the course.

The agreement further states that a recipient of a degree from HCC who applies for admission to ECCC and is admitted as a transfer student may receive a specified number of semester hours of academic credit. HCC and ECCC partners also agree to work together to provide remote access for educational support services to ECCC students and to provide on-site services to HCC students.

To take classes at HCC, students must apply for admissions. Once admitted, students have access to all services and functions provided by the College and they may apply for financial aid.
