PRIDE Bowtie

The blue and gold "Tied to P.R.I.D.E." bow tie signifies the end of a journey, recognition as Men of Distinction, and acquisition of a significant manhood milestone—a college credential.

The Bow Tie forms 2 triangles. The right represents the mind, body, and spirit trilogy. The left represents the past, present, and future. The center knot bonds both triangles reminding men that graduation also represents a spiritual, personal, and academic intersection/bond.

The top peaks of the Bow Tie are most important...pointing upward, they beckon each man to infinite possibilities--to set and achieve high standards. The bottom peaks point downward…humble reminders of a passage from which they have come and departure from a place they can never return.

The awarding of the "Tied to P.R.I.D.E." bow tie symbolizes academic progress from beginning to current—as education is a lifelong process that never ends. P.R.I.D.E. reminds each man to aim high in their next journey be it education or career. The lower ends of the triangular planes further prompt each graduate to reach down, pull others up, and remain true to his role as a model of P.R.I.D.E.’s Success.
