The following programs housed under the School of College Transfer,and Education are designed to offer you knowledge and experience necessary for transferring to a college or university or gaining employment in areas such as business, criminal justice, or early childhood education. Associate in Arts: Designed for students who plan to complete 60-61 semester hours, transfer to a four-year university or college, and declare a major in a liberal arts subject such as education, business, psychology, social work, fine arts, or English.Business:
Associate in Science: Designed for students who plan to complete 60 – 61 semester hours, transfer to a four-year university and declare a major in science, medical or math field.
Associate in General Education: Designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth and development.
Business Administration: Designed to introduce students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today’s global economy.
Computer Information Technology: Designed to prepare graduates for employment with organizations that use computers to process, manage, and communicate information. This is a flexible curriculum that can be customized to meet community information systems needs.
Medical Office Administration: Prepares individuals for positions in medical and other health-related offices. Office Administration: Prepares individuals for positions in administrative support careers, such as administrative assistant or office management.
Education: Early Childhood Education: Prepares individuals to work with children from infancy through middle childhood in diverse learning environments. Students will combine learned theories with practice in actual settings with young children under the supervision of qualified teachers.
Criminal Justice Technology: Designed to provide knowledge of criminal justice systems and operations. Study will focus on local, state, and federal law enforcement, judicial processes, corrections, and security services. The criminal justice system’s role within society will be explored.
Paralegal Technology: Prepares individuals to work under the supervision of attorneys by performing routine legal tasks and assisting with substantive legal work. A paralegal/legal assistant may not practice law, give legal advice, or represent clients in a court of law.
