HCC's BLET Academy graduates 48th class
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) cadets graduated in a ceremony on campus, Dec. 16. This marked HCC's 48th BLET Academy graduation. Northampton County Sheriff’s Office provided the Honor Guard. Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, president of HCC gave the welcome. North Carolina Highway Patrol Tare Davis was the guest speaker.

Awards and recognition were given for Academic Excellence, Top Gun, Physical Fitness, Top Driver and Class President. Graduates were presented certificates by Dr. Warren Haynes, Dean, Workforce & Economic Development and diplomas were presented by Dr. Deryl Davis Fulmer, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dr. Ervin V. Griffin, Sr., President of HCC. Heartfelt closing remarks were given by Gregory Parker, Director, Law Enforcement Training.
