HCC to host Advanced Manufacturing and STEM Careers Awareness Week Open House
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) will host a North Carolina Advanced Manufacturing and STEM Careers Awareness Week Open House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 14 at The Centre at HCC. The event is free and open to the public. Participants will have a chance to:
  • Meet with business and industry representatives

Advanced manufacturing and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers are modern, sophisticated and use cutting-edge technology to create products and services in fields such as aviation, communication, biotechnology and health care.

The event is part of North Carolina Manufacturing Awareness Week, April 12-18, which is an effort by the state’s community colleges and other organizations working together to raise awareness about manufacturing in North Carolina and to create interest in the career possibilities within this sector.
