Mosley named HCC's Coordinator of Advanced Manufacturing & Industrial Technology
 
WELDON, N.C. – Dr. Ivan T. Mosley Sr. has been named the project coordinator/instructor of Advanced Manufacturing & Industrial Technology at Halifax Community College (HCC). He began his post in early February.

Over the past 15 years, Mosley has worked with governmental agencies, higher education institutions and the military in the areas of e-manufacturing, manufacturing execution systems, online curriculum development, strategic planning, and accreditation and technology integration through science, technology, engineering and mathematics initiatives. He is currently a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserves.

Mosley is the first African American to serve as the chair of the Association of Technology, Management & Applied Engineering (ATMAE) Executive Board, is the first African American to serve as the president of the university division of ATMAE, is the first African American to serve as the president of the student division of ATMAE and the third African American to be honored as the Distinguished Technology Educator by the International Technology & Engineering Education Association.

Mosley earned a doctorate from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Central Missouri, a Master of Information Science from North Carolina Central University and a bachelor's degree from North Carolina A&T State University.
