Nurse Aide I class slated for HCC
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College’s (HCC) Workforce & Economic Development Division will offer a Nurse Aide I class from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. The class will begin Feb. 23 and run through May 3 on the Weldon campus.

The registration fee is $264.50 not including textbook and other expenses.

Pre-registration is required. The instructor will provide more information about class requirements and expenses. Students may register in Building 400.

Admission requirements for the Nurse Aide I program include:
  1. Complete a current registration form for Nurse Aide I – available in the Workforce & Economic Development Office, Building 400.
  2. Take the TABE Reading Placement Test – student must score a 9th grade level or higher. A retest can be taken. Test results are good for one year. If you have taken the test within the past year, you do NOT have to retake. Testing will be held in Building 500 in the Learning Lab, Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  3. TakeTranscripts are not needed. High school diploma or GED is not required.
  4. TakeMust present current picture ID and Social Security card at time of registration. Names on each must match exactly.
