BB&T presents check to HCC to benefit Scholarship Fund
WELDON, N.C. – Branch Banking &Trust (BB&T) presented a $5,000 check to Halifax Community College on Dec. 5. The check will benefit the BB&T Scholarship Fund, which will provide two scholarships at the college. BB&T is contributing up to $10,000 per year for five years. This is the final year of the pledge. Funds will be used to support local high school students with the highest grade point average from their respective schools within the service area who intend to attend HCC.
