HCC Foundation Inc. hosts fourth annual golf event
 
WELDON, N.C. – On Sept. 25, the Halifax Community College (HCC) Foundation Inc. hosted its fourth annual golf event, the HCC Foundation Inc. Annual Golf Tournament at Chockoyotte Country Club in Weldon.

Twelve teams participated in the tournament. First-place honors went to the First Media Team of Jay Strickland, Holden Strickland, Mike Clemonts and Matt Mizak. A second-place finish was garnered by Team Hester including Ray Hester, Jackie Hester, Terry Frazier and Jerry Bullock. Third-place honors went to the Roanoke Electric Team of Billy Yates, J.R. Weaver, Jimmy Liverman and Rick Richardson. The longest-drive-contest winner was Chris Fromal and the closest-to-the-pin contest winner was Jimmy Liverman.
