Students complete Waste Water Plant Operator course at HCC
WELDON, N.C. – Students who completed the Waste Water Plant Operator course were recognized on March 26 at Halifax Community College (HCC). These included:

The course was offered through HCC’s Workforce Development, Continuing Education and Community Services Division and the NC Back-to-Work Program.

Through a $120,000 grant from the North Carolina Community College System, HCC is providing nearly 100 students with targeted, short-term training that will lead to a variety of career-specific, nationally-recognized credentials in automotive systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, industrial maintenance, waste water plant operator, weatherization and welding.

Future training opportunities include: waste water plant operator starting on March 31; weatherization starting on April 1; and, welding starting on May 20.
