HCC hosts International Day & Food Tasting
 
WELDON, N.C. – The seventh annual International Day & Food Tasting was held on Feb. 27 at The Centre at Halifax Community College (HCC). Foods from around the world and various cultures were featured. International attire was also worn.

Class demonstrations kicked off the event. HCC's cosmetology students highlighted "Hairstyles from Around the World." Also, the artwork of Iseah Mills was on display in the Gallery area. HCC School of Business Chair Lateef Balogun hosted a fashion show, featuring traditional Nigerian attire. The fashions were donated by his wife, Margaret, for the event. HCC students and staff served as models during the show.

Featured foods ranged from banana pudding to zucchini bread, soul food to spaghetti and empanadas, chicken salad to barbeque, macaroni and cheese to curry chicken roti, and much more.
