HCC "Wall of Heroes" project to highlight military service

WELDON, N.C. Ė The Halifax Community College (HCC) Office of Veterans Affairs is initiating a project to honor HCC students, faculty and staff who have served in the United States military. A display case has been mounted directly across the hall from the Registrarís Office and will be filled with photos of HCC students, faculty, staff and alumni who have served the country. The "Wall of Heroes" will be displayed throughout the month of November to commemorate Veteranís Day on Nov. 11.

To participate in this project, veterans should submit a photo of themselves in uniform and/or a photo in civilian clothing (preferably 4x6 or smaller), as well as their name, branch of service, and biographical information prior to Nov.1. Photos can be submitted to the Registrar's Office in Room 326. Photos will be pinned to the board and may be retrieved after Nov. 30.
