HCC hosts Adult Basic Education/GED/English-as-a Second Language Fall Student Orientation
The Halifax Community College (HCC) Continuing Education Department hosted an Adult Basic Education/GED/English-as-a-Second Language Fall Student Orientation, Sept. 26 on campus. The theme of the event was "Success: This is your moment in time, make it count." Students heard from college administration, staff, instructors and program graduates. Pictured is HCC President Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. speaking to guests. Griffin spoke about life and educational challenges. He also encouraged students to be willing to solve their own problems and to ask for help when needed. "You never know who might help you or where help might come from," said Griffin.
