HCC's BLET Academy graduates 44th class
WELDON, N.C. – Halifax Community College (HCC) Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) cadets graduated in a ceremony on campus, May 15. This marked HCC’s 44th BLET Academy graduation. Northampton County Sheriff’s Office provided the Honor Guard. Chief Eddie Manford Buffaloe Jr. of the Elizabeth City Police Department was the guest speaker.

Graduates included:
  • Cadet Carl Edward Conner
  • Cadet Crystal Linsay Gilbert
  • Cadet David Bradley Marks
  • Cadet Derrick Wayne Moore
  • Cadet Warren Aaron Smith Jr.
  • Cadet Travis Shane Turner
Awards and recognition were also presented. Marks earned the Academic Excellence award as well as Top Gun and Top Driver awards. Smith garnered the Physical Fitness award.
